Tiling your verandah

Often verandas on older Adelaide villas and cottages have beautiful tiles, yet the base on which they sit has broken down causing damage to both tiles and structure. In repairing a veranda consider photographing the original tiles before you repair. Once a new waterproofed base is built it is time to replace the tiles. Winckelmans Factory still manufacture the same kind of tessellated tile they made in 1890s making it easy to retile your veranda and blend with the original heritage.
We offer assistance in selecting a design that is similar or compliments the original tiles, as well as the general appearance of your home. Your input is important too. You can view the many tessellated designs and lay outs on our website and on display in the showroom. We assist you to create your design with our selection of loose tiles. Bring along your measurements, any photos and ideas. We can also offer you various options for edging, slate bullnose and step treads.

A veranda beautifully and authentically tiled with tessellated tiles is both timeless and adds value to your home.

Most importantly, we can also put you in touch with experienced tilers who understand how to lay these tiles.

Please make the time to come in and select your designs with our very experienced staff.
